What do I have to do to get the featured image of a post to display with the link of that post when I share it?

Hi Evette,
The simplest way to do it is to use plugin that would format post for social media.
If you use one of the big SEO plugins — they can do that.
There are also dedicated plugins for that.
I am pretty sure that Facebook Open Graph already does that (selects featured image for sharing) by default.
